The Nationalist Times has always advocated supporting and building alternatives to the Democrat-Republican monopoly that has had a stranglehold on political choices for over 150 years. Think of all the vast changes that have occurred since the 1860s, and yet the one constant since the War Between the States is that Americans have for all intents and purposes been limited to the same two organized political gangs when it comes time to vote.
The Nationalist Times and the American Freedom Union believe Americans need independent candidates and a strong pro-American third party. But that isn’t possible under present conditions despite patriots like Harry Bertram showing the way by running for the West Virginia state legislature as the balloted candidate of the AFU.
As much as it pains us to say it, on November 6th the only logical choice for voters is to vote Republican in U.S. House and Senate races in order to keep GOP control of Congress. Otherwise the next two years will be wasted with the same crowd that conducted the attempted congressional lynching of Brett Kavanaugh now trying to impeach Donald Trump (and Kavanaugh with him). And the Russiagate fable and various other witch hunts will be intensified, anything to drive out the man who makes leftists even crazier than they already were.
“Trump Derangement Syndrome” has been a great gift to “real” Americans, the kind of Americans this newspaper is geared toward but who have mostly been ignorant their entire lives regarding what is really taking place in the “Land of the Free” and why. The Republican Party remains an integral part of the problem, but dragging it kicking and screaming rightward is the most feasible of a lot of bad choices. That process can be greatly helped if more aware Americans would leave their comfort zone and become politically involved. Doing so as a “Trump Republican” involves no personal risk and much potential reward.
As for the President, we have criticized him at times, sometimes harshly so, and also given him credit where it’s due. Over the past half-year he has seemed to come into his own, saying and doing many good things. But on a number of issues, ranging from his support of Zionist expansionism, to mere baby steps on immigration reform, to his puzzling refusal to go after Antifa, the anti-White terrorist group running wild in urban areas, there is much more that needs to be done and time is running short.
Donald Trump will likely always remain an enigma. Is he a political genius with a master plan to drain the Swamp over time, or is he establishment to the core, someone with all the right enemies and who knows how to “trigger” them but who has no intention of trying to implement radical changes — and make no mistake, attacking the system at the roots is the only solution with the slightest chance of reversing this one-time great nation’s course.
But even if Trump at heart isn’t “one of us,” he’s shown the way forward. Unlike every conservative over the past 50 years, who apologize in the most cringing ways when accused of violating the cultural communist party line, when accused or attacked Trump punches back ten times harder than he was hit. He is the greatest rhetorical counterpuncher ever.
President Trump has shown how to stand up to the totalitarian bullies who think they own America and the American People. He has shown American men how to get their manhood back.
