Forty years ago, then President Jimmy Carter gave what came to be known as his “malaise speech.” Though he never used the word “malaise” it became known that way primarily as a result of these three sentences: “It is a crisis of confidence. It is a crisis that strikes at the very heart and soul and spirit of our national will. We can see this crisis in the growing doubt about the meaning of our own lives and in the loss of a unity of purpose for our nation.”
Carter’s speech comes to mind because “malaise” is a good way to describe what for better or worse we’ll call for the purposes of this editorial the “nationalist movement.”
Scanning the internet every day, one finds on the increasingly marginalized nationalist internet sites a combination of great thinking and utter despair. It illustrates the potential of the nationalist movement – far more intelligent, aware people than before, along with its total impotence at a time when the forces running the Empire are moving in for the kill domestically.
Every day brings more news than can possibly fit in each month’s Intelligence Report, almost all of it ominous – a vice chancellor at the University of Missouri claims in a deposition that tall men asking out short women is “sexual misconduct.” Facebook is turning down ads because the models are too pretty, writing, “Your ad wasn’t approved because it focuses on an ideal physical body image. . .Images that show a type of body as being perfect. . . are not accepted.” Under American communism, utter lunacy is in, along with the glorification of ugliness.
On the foreign policy front, President Trump announces that U.S. troops are to leave Syria immediately, and then is just as quickly contradicted by the leading foreign policy advisers in his administration, every last one of them neo-conservatives from the darkest reaches of the swamp the President swore to drain.
The Democrats claim that building a border wall is immoral, never mentioning Israel’s Apartheid Wall, which is one hundred percent effective. Or that “democratic” Israel recently opened a highway in the West Bank with segregated lanes for Jews and Palestinians. In Texas, a teacher lost her job because she refused to sign a pro-Israel oath, which is now mandatory in many states.
A “pro-Israel oath.” What could be more sickening and more illustrative of what has happened to a once free country than that? And any public figure that points it out will be instantly demonized and consigned to the memory hole. What is America under other than a soft form of totalitarianism in which heretics from the Party Line are not captured in the middle of the night and disposed of, but rather their reputations and financial livelihoods are ruined by the media and other corporate entities.
There’s no need at the present time for harsher methods because the current system, with its permanent two-party monopoly combined with the media and large corporations doing the heavy lifting enforcing communist/globalist orthodoxy, works great for the PTB.
So nationalists, constitutionalists, patriots, White advocates and everyone else is left with lots of great ideas about what must be done, but without a clue about how to implement their ideas in the real world. Many still claim that a new “civil war” will start any moment now, with some long-awaited spark magically causing White Americans – who often don’t even know who their neighbors are – to rise up and work seamlessly together as a guerrilla army “taking their country back.” Others sit back and wait for “Q-Anon” and President Trump to begin their “counter-coup” against the Deep State. While they wait for what will never happen, the Democrats in the House are readying dozens of investigations and bills of impeachment against a President who punches back verbally but never actually retaliates in ways that hurt.
It’s a discouraging situation to put it mildly. It is a crisis that strikes at the very heart and soul and will of those called at this moment in History to battle and defeat the forces of darkness – and if this malaise is not overcome we, the accomplishments and wisdom of our ancestors, and the nation and liberty we cherish will continue to rapidly disappear, never to reappear.
