The American Freedom Union’s 2017 Conference was held outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania on August 26th. Attendees heard an excellent group of speakers.
Nelson Waller, the long-time Nationalist Times Contributing Writer and activist par excellence, centered his talk on picketing and sloganeering, giving many fine tips on how activists can maximize their professionalism and thus their impact.
American Free Press writer Dave Gahary and USS Liberty survivor Phil Tourney both spoke about the sinking of the Liberty by Israel and their plans to fund and produce a documentary on the event. They are traveling the country together to rally support behind their effort. Tourney’s vivid description of what he saw during the attack that day as a 20-year-old Third Class Petty Officer was particularly moving.
Barnes Review Editor Matthew Raphael Johnson, Ph.D. was at the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally and was sprayed with bear mace, causing substantial, but fortunately temporary damage to his eyes. He gave his eyewitness account of the event and also talked about a wide range of topics of interest to American Nationalists.
The title of South African Simon Roche’s speech was “A Crisis Coming to a Western Civilization Near You.” Roche is the head of the Suidlanders, a large South African organization dedicated to civil defense plans for the Whites of that beleaguered communist country. A powerful speaker, Roche riveted the audience with his story of how he snapped out of his previous liberal beliefs and came to understand the true nature of what South Africa’s conversion to black rule meant for his fellow Whites.
Long-time American Freedom Union activist Harry Bertram closed the Conference, as he had in 2016, with his expert knowledge on all aspects of activism.
AFU Executive Director Don Wassall hosted the event.
