There are about 33,000 street gangs, motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs in the U.S. as of 2014, with 1.4 million members criminally active. Many gangs are sophisticated and well-organized and all use violence to control neighborhoods or their spheres of activity to boost their illegal money-making activities. Gangs commit about 48% of all violent crime in the U.S.
The most notorious, wealthiest, most violent, and probably largest of these gangs is the infamous MS-13 gang, also known as the Mara Salvatrucha gang. It is well-known for its killing, robbery, extortion, drug trafficking, and sex and human trafficking. It is especially noted for its savagery and brutality, including hacking up the bodies of victims. The gang is also associated with the Mexican drug cartels.
MS-13 cells were first established in Central American communities across the U.S. but are spreading everywhere, including making significant inroads into middle class suburbia. The number of MS-13 members is rapidly increasing and likely exceeds 50,000.
Arrests seem to have little effect on the exploding growth of this gang. The gang is international in scope and will threaten a target’s family in its home country where U.S. authorities are powerless to intervene. Deportation is of limited effectiveness because deportees are already networked into the criminal element that runs human smuggling routes.
Unbelievably, the biggest group of unsung supporters of this gang in the U.S. are America’s police chiefs. Beginning in 1979 with Los Angeles Police Department(LAPD), Chief Daryl Gates signing “Special Order (S.O.) 40” forbidding police officers from inquiring into the immigration status of suspected illegal aliens — in violation of federal immigration law — police departments all over the country have followed in the LAPD’s criminal footsteps. “Smart” police chiefs figured out how they could use illegal ordinances like S.O. 40 to re-define crime in such a manner as to make it appear that that are doing a much better job than they actually are.
Police departments actually cede sovereignty over immigrant neighborhoods to brutal gangs like MS-13, who victimize and terrorize the immigrants (invariably illegals) over whom they rule, while warning the illegals to not complain or report crimes to the police or face death for them and their families. With the crime victims not reporting crime, the police chiefs issue fraudulent statistics reporting significant drops in crime, and thus look good to the politicos in control.
Thanks to the corrupt police chiefs, illegals are getting a free ride by just being here and get away with crimes such as:
